She on the Streets!

What do you do, when your girl friend and you are walking down the street at 10.30PM and are approached by bikers who pretend to need directions? What do you do when an auto-wallah follows you for more than a kilometer despite your announcement of not wanting the ride? What do you do when the men suddenly speed their bike directly at you? What do you do when they shout “hey baby, chalti kya?” as they pass by? What do you do when men in their cars tend to go in the wrong direction while ogling you?

Because your hair is Precious ♥

Now ask any girl in any part of the world, if they want long, smooth, silky and straight hairs or not; the answer can never be a no. Of all the girls/women, I have never been the one to complain about the type of hair I have, why? Because I have been blessed with straight and silky hair not only once but twice! Now you want to know the story of my hair then you can read it here .As a kid, after the Johnson’s’ baby products I remember using Sunsilk on my hair. My mom has been a believer of Sunslik being the best shampoo for it is old and she has used it for a long time. So the belief shifted from my mom to me. Given the fact that I always had straight hair, I never had to think about ways to make it any better. Now, staying in a hostel I see many girls running down to the parlors to straighten their hair just before the fresher’s party, or any special occasion. Here are a couple of ways that my friends have used in last few months: Pressing- It was hard for me to believe that ...

Indiblogger- You made my Sunday :-)

What do you do when your roommates ask you to visit some place with them; when one of your school mates is suddenly in your city; when you have a bloggers' meet to attend on the very same day ??? I do not know what you would have chosen but I chose to be at Pantene Nature Fusion Women's Indiblogger meet on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at ITC Sheraton. Being new in the heart of India, Delhi, I wasn't sure if I could attend the meet alone. (I attended the first bloggers' meet with my brother.) I was nervous because I am not quite good at interacting with people I don't actually know but still I made my way to ITC Sheraton at 11.30AM. I entered the hall and was greeted with the sweet smiles from the Indiblogger team. I am not sure how but yes that made me feel a bit relaxed. After registering myself I joined Aparajita, Moumita, Priyanka, Priti, Pooja; all of them attending the meet for the first time. And then the conversation followed starting from what's your ...

When You and I were WE- The story

Loving someone and having them love you back is the most precious thing in the world.  - Nicholas Sparks No one realizes the power and the magic of love till they witness it in their own life or in someone else's who has been really close to them.  Even after witnessing quite a few relationships and break ups, I still have no idea about what love actually is. When I had my first crush on one of my senior, I thought it was love but it wasn't. When I had my second crush on one of my classmates, I thought I found my true love but I was obviously no where around it. Eventually I stopped thinking about love. I saw my friends in a happy relationship but then it was always followed by a dramatic break up.So there was no way for me to have a bit of faith in the word known as LOVE. Life throws curve balls at you when you least expect them. When it comes to me the curve ball was love. If you're thinking that I fell in love, then you're wrong. A few years back I came to re...

Love vs Arranged- My take

The Oxford English dictionary defines marriage as a formal union of man and woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife and I am sure that everyone agrees to this. But is marriage completely explainable in these couple of words? I do not think so. Simply saying, ‘Kabul hai’, ‘I do’ or taking the ‘saat pheres’ does not quiet interpret a marriage. As far as I can understand, marriage is a promise which is meant to remain unbroken for the life time of the people involved. It is vow to live together forever, to be by each other’s side, to make your mate happy and support in the sorrows, to try to understand each other and avoid misunderstandings, to be each other’s friend before the course of love and most importantly to trust each other and never let the foundation of the relationship weaken. A girl, since her childhood, dreams to have a perfect husband who comes on a white horse to marry her or so used to be the thought a few years back. Now the...
