The Forgotten Smile

As I sit by the classroom window Barely listening to the voice so monotonous My thoughts drift from the yellowed pale walls to the vibrant green under the summer sun. Life's beautiful, yet harsh has been the reality. The shoulders now droop with responsibilities. 'Grown enough to handle the world as it is' -A lie that the fickle mind's been feeding me. Once comfortable walking in the crowd alone, strong and bold, now look for a hand to lead on. A fear of failure in the eyes that shone bright, the broad careless curve in the face is now the forgotten smile.
